THE SHEPHERD

IMG_0691
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want and whom shall I fear? Our lives so priceless, he sacrificed his own, and promised to someday reappear.

I have prayed in the most undesirable places on earth. At those moments in time, I looked to the sky and immediately knew my purpose and worth.

He makes me lie down in green pastures and leads me beside still waters. For this life is not my own, I am the clay and he is the potter.

He restores my soul and leads me in the path of righteousness, for his name sake. Live life to the fullest, because it flashes by like a snapshot and there are no retakes.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

I have seen things under blue skies that few would understand. Amongst the oppression, corruption, violence and war, I calmly walk through these valleys with the sword of God in my hand.

I have had the privilege to laugh with men who died. But in all of my ways and through all of my days, like a friend he has walked beside.

I shall lead from the front, never the rear. I hold his promises close to my heart, ever so near. His word, a light onto my path, ever so dear. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
