I want to be clay in the potter’s hand. I want to be the light to a dark and broken land.

Lord, set this heart on fire. Holy Spirit burn away all my evil desire.

Place my life on the right track and set it a blaze. I’m weary, tired of waking up every morning in a sinful daze.

Anoint thy heart, and no I’m not speaking of a blessed oil
Give me the conviction to be as humble as soil.

Allow me to see the good in mankind. But not be blind to the evil outside of thine.

Teach me to give back to the ones in need. Teach me the value of a single good deed.

With this new life, I put aside all aspects of hate. Empty my heart, clear my mind…I simply wish to relate.

Words cannot explain, I’m not who I used to be. Someone’s looking out for me and paid the ultimate fee.
