Amongst these winding hallways and steep staircases of life, you’ll find doors. Be cautious, there are levels to this though and they can be found on all floors.

Doors that seem quite promising and others with purpose in which you can not see. Regardless, to open each door you’ll need to find the missing key.

These keys are not easy to attain. To reach them, you’ll have to face much adversity and pain.

Keys that could set you apart from the rest. Keys that could easily make you the best. Keys that could give you an edge on life, some may even call it success.

These keys are known to take you places. To transcend barriers of all different races. These keys are not superficial yet they are very real. Take pride in your future today as you listen to my appeal.

Lazarus (Hebrew: “God will help”) Siafa was born in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. A once abundantly prosperous and promising nation that was crippled by poverty, violence and corruption in the late 80’s to early 90’s due to a Civil War that lasted approximately 14 years. This blog is a collection of thought provoking, spirit lifting and ambition driven poems as well as spoken word written by Lazarus for those who share a similar dream and perception of life. The vision that no matter the obstacle, failure, setback, trial or loss in life that you hold the power to overcome it all. You may have been born to lose but in time can be built to win and God willing can accomplish whatever your heart desires.
